Town and Community Councils manage the upkeep of some local parks, benches and street lighting and organises the cutting of grass and verges in the local community boundaries.

They also act as consultees for planning applications.

There are 377 elected Councillors representing 37 Town and Community Councils.
Elections are held for the Town and Community Councils within the County of Denbighshire and are always held on the same day as county council elections on a 4 yearly basis.

The next elections are due in May 2012.
