Car Parking in Denbighshire
Car Parks in Denbighshire
The Transportation & Infrastructure Department is responsible for providing most of the car parks in Denbighshire’s town centres and along the coast. In total we provide over 5,000 parking spaces across the County.
Car parks are split into short stay and long stay use. Those nearest the shopping streets are provided for short stay parking with the charges reflecting this. Motorists wishing to stay for longer periods are encouraged to use long stay car parks where the charges for over 4 hours are lower. The majority of car parks provided by the County Council are pay and display and the charges are as displayed in each car park. The machines accept 5p, 10p, 20p 50p, £1 and £2 coins but do not give change
A special discount rate is available for Railway Station car park users purchasing a train ticket at Rhyl Railway Station - an all day ticket costs £2.50 and is valid until midnight.
On Street Pay & Display Parking
Pay & Display car parking is available on the Promenade in Rhyl. The lengths of road on which the charges apply are the northwest sides of West Parade (between Butterton Road and High Street) and East Parade / Marine Drive (between Fairfield Avenue and Splash Point).
The charges payable are displayed on each Pay & Display ticket machine.
The charges will be collected by means of ‘Pay and Display’ ticket machines positioned at regular intervals along the lengths of road over which they apply.
Vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s ‘blue’ badge or an appropriate permit issued by the Council will be exempt from the charges.
Permits may be made available for the appropriate fee to residents living on or immediately adjacent to the lengths of road on which the charges apply and who have no alternative off-street parking facilities. Applications for permits should be made in writing to the Parking Services Manager, Denbighshire County Council, P.O.Box 273, Rhyl, LL18 9EJ
