In some instances there is a need for people appointed to posts to be checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).  In the main, the posts that these checks apply to are those who come into contact with children and other vulnerable people.  If you are successful in one of these posts, your appointment will not be confirmed until such a check has been completed and we have received a satisfactory answer from the Bureau.  For a full copy of our Criminal Records Checks Policy and Procedure, please open attachment.
