Youngsters are urged to get creative and join a series of events across Denbighshire to mark the national Big Draw campaign.
The Big Draw is a national campaign which invites everyone to join in, using drawing to engage with the past, present and future. The eighth Big Draw runs from 1 to 31 October 2007, with a special focus on Saturday 13 October.
Denbighshire Heritage Service is running a series of events to coincide on the drawing theme.
Saturday 6th October 11am – 4pm Drawing Woodland Animals at Plas Newydd, Llangollen. Free. Explore the woodland at the home of the Ladies of Llangollen, Plas Newydd. Draw your selection of wild animals in the newly opened Y Caban.
Saturday 13th October 10.30am – 12.30 pm Diversity Mosaic Drawing at Denbigh Museum. Free. Come along and draw items and patterns that you see around you in the exhibition - Minorities View: Diversity in Denbighshire.
Saturday 20th October 10.30am – 12.30 pm Roman Cartoons at Rhyl Museum. Free. Come along and let the Romans inspire you. With the backdrop of finds from Prestatyn Roman Bathhouse, cartoonist Martin Teviotdale will show you how to create your own Roman character.
Sunday 28th October 11am – 4pm Drawing Masks for Halloween at Ruthin Gaol. Enter the Gaol at your peril. As a prelude to Halloween you will meet a mysterious storyteller, and be able to create your own scary mask. If you come in costume you might even win a prize.
