At Ysgol Dinas Bran, Llangollen, pupils are holding a balloon race, face painting, a cake and sweet sale and are given the option of wearing something yellow – for a price! The sixth formers are also having a Twister competition.

A group of four pupils at Prestatyn High will sing for the entire day, even when they are spoken to and Rhyl High are holding an inter-house karaoke competition - including staff - during their lunch hour as well as collecting donations and selling cakes.

Denbigh High will hold a non uniform day, a variety of activities by individual pupils have been arranged and a Sponsored Waxing Session will be held where Year 12 girls are waxing legs, chests etc of Year 12 boys.

Youngsters at Ysgol Caer Drewyn will dress in their own clothes or fancy dress and hold a talent contest.

Pupils at Ysgol Bro Cinmeirch are wearing fancy dress or sports wear and pitting themselves against Ysgol Prion in netball and football matches.

Ysgol Llandyrnog pupils are dressing up to the theme "What I want to be when I grow up" and at Ysgol Esgob Morgan, children are paying £1 to dress up in stripes and or spots,  as well as holding a raffle with Pudsey Bear as the prize.

Staff and pupils at Ysgol Gymraeg y Gwernant, Llangollen are wearing pyjamas and Ysgol Bodnant Infants are also in pyjamas all day and will be making a line of 1ps and 2ps, all children will make a donation of 50p and staff £1.

Children at Ysgol Twm o’r Nant will enjoy wearing their own clothes to school and Mrs Nicola James, Deputy Headteacher of St Asaph VP School, is taking the whole school for a 25p each aerobic session.

Each class at Ysgol Gwaenynog, Denbigh, is holding its own fund-raising events and Ysgol Tir Morfa, Rhyl, has asked pupils to bring in coins to stick on cut-outs of Pudsey Bear. The event has gone on throughout the week and the challenge is to make as many Pudsey Bears smile as possible. The result will be announced in the school assembly on Friday.

Pupils from Ysgol Maes Hyfryd, Cynwyd are wearing fancy dress and paying a fine of £1 for not wearing school uniform.

Not to be outdone, Denbighshire County Council staff have also been organising events, including staff from the Housing & Area Renewal Team who have already raised £30 for Children in Need by playing a game that was provided in the Fund-raising Pack.

Staff at the Middle Lane Education Centre are holding a coffee morning and the café at Denbigh Community College donated a cake as a raffle prize.

Staff at Trem Clwyd, Ruthin, are holding a raffle, cake stall, guess how many sweeties in the jar, a quiz and dressing up and staff at Countryside Services are having a teddy bears picnic and selling cakes.
