Denbighshire is set to benefit from additional funding to support our heritage.
Welsh Assembly Heritage Minister, Rhodri Glyn Thomas recently unveiled an additional £36 million over the next three years to support heritage in Wales.
Creating an environment where Wales' creative potential can develop and flourish is a key priority for Wales and for Denbighshire County Council.
As part of the scheme, Cadw will continue its programme of improvements to visitor attractions, including work on the Denbigh Town Walls. The town walls encompass part of Denbigh Castle which is owned by Cadw and managed on their behalf by Denbighshire County Council.
Councillor Gwyneth Kensler, Cabinet Lead Member for Promoting Denbighshire said “The news that the Assembly through Cadw is continuing to invest in our county is extremely encouraging and fits well with the Council’s objective of making Denbighshire the County of Culture in Wales.'
