Denbighshire’s Education Services are working in association with the Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Association (SEBDA) to host their first North Wales conference, and only the second they have held in Wales.
SEBDA is a highly renowned multi-professional organisation working with children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The conference is on Friday, November 23 at the Oriel House Hotel in St. Asaph and is entitled 'Making the Links: Emotional Wellbeing and Learning '.
Denbighshire’s Head of Behaviour Support, Sheila Breeze said: “The conference will encourage professionals to look at what lies behind the behaviours and difficulties of children and young people with SEBD, or those who are disaffected, disengaged or have mental health difficulties.”
The day will involve presentations from high-quality keynote speakers, followed by interactive workshops delivered by practitioners from across North Wales, providing examples of good and effective practice for working with children and young people with SEBD.
The keynote speakers are Adrian Faupel, an expert in the field of managing behaviour and emotional health, and Peter Hook, a well known trainer in behaviour management.
