Llangollen councillor Stuart Davies has been chosen as Leader of the Independent Group on Denbighshire County Council.

Councillor Sue Roberts of Rhyl is the new Deputy Leader of the Group and Councillor John Smith of St Asaph remains as Treasurer.

The leadership of the Group became vacant following the election of the previous incumbment, Councillor Hugh Evans as Leader of the Council.
