Soap stars, pop stars and talent show stars of the future visit Rhyl on Sunday August 24 & Bank Holiday Monday 25 for Fun in the Sun 2008, (noon - 5 pm)

This free event, organised by Denbighshire County Council and supported by Rhyl Town Council and Coast 96.3 FM, takes place at the Rhyl Events Arena and is set to draw in the crowds.

The line-up includes stars from your favourite soaps, plus pop stars and chart topping bands:

Katherine Kelly - Becky Grainger 'Coronation Street Star'
Tom Lister - Carl King (Emmerdale)
Natasha Hamilton (former Atomic Kitten )
Pete Price (City Talk Radio Presenter )
Hoop la la (Britain's Got Talent )
Rusholme Ruffians (featuring Ben Hardman & Ben Thompson (Ben Thompson plays Ryan Connor in 'Coronation Street')
Sabrina (former member of Mis-teeq)
The Latch (band featuring former Steps Star Lee Latchford Evans)
James Stone (local male vocalist and star of Britain's Got Talent)
Shaky Shaun (from X Factor)
Wig Wam Glam (70's Tribute Band)
Laura Critchley (female vocalist currently touring with Boyzone)
Billiam (Top 30 UK chart success)

Support acts and stars of the future include: Kissing Freddie (new girl band), Stonefoxx (girl band), Lauren Rose (female vocalist), Michael Hinch (male vocalist)
Vogue (girl band), Scott 'G' (young male vocalist), Cinderella Theory (new all-girl group featuring local female artiste Corrine Parry), Fallen Angels (girl duo)

In addition to the bumper line up of artistes, the event includes children's entertainment, face painting, circus skills and a fun fair. 

Alongside the Fun in the Sun event, Rhyl RNLI will be hosting their annual Open Day on Sunday August 24 and the thrills of the day will include the return of the Red Devils Parachute Display Team, World War ll Spitfire Aircraft Display, Model Aircraft and North Wales Police Helicopter.
