08/06/2008 - C'mon Corwen for a day of fun for all the family!

Denbighshire Countryside service has organised C’mon Corwen, a day of events and activities for all on Wednesday, August 13.

Not only is there a guided walk to the top of Caer Drewyn (led by Fiona Gale, County Archaeologist and Samantha Williams, Hillfort Project Officer) to discover some secrets about this magnificent Iron Age hillfort, but people will have the opportunity to help the local wildlife too!

You can build your own bird or bat box and for those who want to cool down in the Summer heat, why not wear your wellies and get stuck into cleaning up the river?!

Otters are to be found here and locals can make a real difference to life on the river by clearing away the rubbish and debris along the banks.

To end the day, everyone’s efforts will be royally rewarded with a fantastic barbecue, using the finest foods sourced locally from the Rhug Estate.

If you are interested in coming along, please ring Denbighshire Countryside Service on 01978 869618 or Loggerheads Office 01352 810614 to book your place.
