New boy band 'Avenue' will make a guest appearance at Rhyl Arena's Fun in the Sun 2008. The pop band will open the show on Bank Holiday Monday and perform their debut single Last Goodbye. The band is already being compared to Take That, Boyzone and Westlife.
This free event, organised by Denbighshire County Council and supported by Rhyl Town Council and Coast 96.3 FM, takes place at the Rhyl Events Arena on Sunday August 24 & Bank Holiday Monday 25 for Fun in the Sun 2008, (noon - 5 pm).

In addition to the bumper line up of artistes, the event includes children's entertainment, face painting, circus skills and a travelling funfair.
Alongside the Fun in the Sun event, Rhyl RNLI will be hosting their annual Open Day on Sunday 24th August and the thrills of the day will include the return of the Red Devils Parachute Display Team, World War ll Spitfire Aircraft Display, Model Aircraft and North Wales Police Helicopter.
