A guide promoting the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is hot off the press.

'Capturing the Clwydian Range' is a bilingual publication produced  by staff from the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in partnership with Denbighshire and Flintshire County Councils, Cadwyn Clwyd, Countryside Council for Wales and Forestry Commission Wales.

It is distributed to visitor centres and other outlets in Denbighshire and Flintshire, including bed and breakfast establishments and hotels.

The 2008 publication has a host of features, including an article on protecting the water vole, archaeology, history, Mold Food Festival, recipe for bilberry muffins, feature on Caffi Florence at Loggerheads Country Park, a poem about a buzzard's flight, booklets promoting the Clwydian Range and a feature on a series of archive films taken in the Llanarmon and Llanferres areas during the 1940s and 50s.

Howard Sutcliffe of the Clwydian Range AONB, said: "This booklet gives visitors and local people a true flavour of life in the Clwydian Range. From historic hillforts to conservation efforts, from recipes using local fruit to mouth-watering food festivals, there's something for everyone in the AONB.

“We hope that people picking up a copy of the booklet will sample the wealth of activities on offer in the region, whilst taking in some of the most breath-taking scenery you will find anywhere in the UK."
