Young people take pride of place at Denbighshire Youth Service Annual Celebration of Achievements Evening
Young people from across Denbighshire were centre stage for a special evening ceremony as part of the Denbighshire Youth Service Annual Celebration of Achievement at Denbigh Town Hall on July 31.
A first for this year was the Children’s and Youth University Certificate, handed to youngsters for taking part in a wide range of activities run by the county’s Youth Service team.
Winners were presented with awards in several categories, including the Open College Network, Children’s University, Duke of Edinburgh Award, John Muir, Youth Achievement Award and internal recognition certificates for those young people who are currently working towards gaining one of the above awards.
Well over 100 young people received awards, which were presented by Denbighshire’s Chairman, Councillor Raymond Bartley, and were later celebrated with a disco and non alcoholic cocktail bar.
The Youth Service would like to thank all who attended the evening and the partnership organisations, West Rhyl Young Peoples Project, Denbigh Youth Project and Menter Iaith.
