So what is the Partnership?
So What is the Partnership?
Every Local Authority in England and Wales, under the Children’s Act 2004, has set up a Children & Young People’s Partnership. The Partnerships champion the needs of and development of services for Children & Young People and ensure that we deliver the Welsh Assembly Government’s 7 Core Aims.
The Children & Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) takes the lead role. There are two other key partnership groups that feed into CYPSP directly, one looking after 0-10 year olds, Early Entitlement and the other looking after 11-25 year olds, Extending Entitlement.
A range of Working Groups underpin the work of the partnership looking at a range of priority areas, many of which cut across both the Extending Entitlement and Early Entitlement groups.
CYPSP is responsible for managing and allocating the Cymorth Funds. This fund of money from Welsh Assembly Government, enables the partnership itself to develop and to support partner organisations in delivery of support, services and activities for children & young people in Denbighshire.
