The Pest Control Team provides services for the ‘treatment’ for a range of household and ‘public health’ pests. Pests of Public Health significance include rats, mice, bedbugs and cockroaches. These pests can provide a range of diseases which need to be controlled to limit the impact on human health.
Denbighshire County Council provides free treatment for some pests in domestic dwellings. A charge is levied for treatment of such pests in all requests from commercial premises, places of worship and village halls.
Other Pests that present more of a ‘nuisance’ value are also treated by the team; these would include pests such as wasps nests, ants, fleas and carpet beetles. These treatments are offered on request to all premises subject to a charge.
