Winter Fuel Support Scheme

The Winter Fuel Support Scheme provides eligible households with support towards paying their winter fuel bills.

What happens after applying

We will contact you if we need more information about your application.

Successful applications

If your application is successful, £200 will either be sent to the bank details you provide or credit to your council tax account (this will depend on which option you choose in the application form).

Unsuccessful applications

Applications will be refused if the eligibility criteria is not met. You cannot appeal but you can reapply if your circumstances change.

Winter Fuel Support Scheme payments are not taxable and will not affect any entitlement to Welfare Benefits.

Declining an automatic payment

If you would like to decline an automatic payment, please return the payment to us and send us an email sent to benefits@denbighshire.gov.uk stating your Council Tax Account number and that you do not want the payment.
