How we are working to delay the spread of Coronavirus in Denbighshire

We understand that many people in Denbighshire might be concerned about the Coronavirus and its impact locally. Here's how we're working to delay the spread of Coronavirus in Denbighshire.

Local monitoring groups

We have people working locally to assess and monitor the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation in Denbighshire, including localised outbreaks and case numbers. These are essential for helping us to plan how we deliver public services in your local community during the pandemic.

Test. Trace. Protect.

We're working with the Welsh Government's 'Test Trace Protect' service (external website) to ensure that we take action to limit any spread of the virus. We are supporting the Test Trace Protect service by providing contact tracers, who may get in touch if you are believed to have come into contact with anyone who may have tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the last 14 days.

If you are contacted by the NHS Test, Trace Protect Service, you will be asked to provide them with information. They will need to know who you’ve been in close proximity with on any occasion during the period beginning up to 2 days before you started experiencing symptoms. Please provide this information in full when asked, to ensure that we can inform your contacts of the need to isolate to stop the virus spreading. Contact Tracing may also ask if you would complete your details electronically by send you a form to complete, if you have requested this please ensure you complete this as fully as possible as this would hopefully avoid a further call to ask for these details.

By providing this information, we can also contact any premises that you have visited during this time, to ensure that:

  • those premises have the correct measures in place; and
  • any clusters of cases associated with those premises are identified and for us to take action if needed.
