FIS training: Group B Safeguarding

The Group B Safeguarding qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment, including voluntary work. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding, enabling learners to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on appropriately.

When and where do courses take place?

The Group B Safeguarding training takes place on:

  • Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 May 2026 at the Oak Tree Centre, Rhyl, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Saturday 4 July 2026 at the Oaktree Centre, Rhyl, from 9:30am to 1:30pm
  • Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September 2026 at the Oak Tree Centre, Rhyl, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Saturday 28 November 2026 at the Naylor Leyland Centre, Ruthin, from 9:30am to 1:30pm
  • Saturday 16th January 2027 at the Oak Tree Centre, Rhyl, from 9:30am to 1:30pm
  • Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 February 2027 at the Naylor Leyland Centre, Ruthin, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Who can attend?

This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).

The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)

How to get involved

Each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.

After receiving the booking request we will then send a confirmation email with details of your upcoming training course.
