FIS training: Child Protection (online course)

The Child Protection course covers the fundamentals of safeguarding and child protection for anyone who comes into contact with children, young people and their parents in a childcare setting.

It gives an introduction to child abuse, explores the physical and behavioural signs of Maltreatment and how to report suspected abuse effectively. It also outlines the legal framework and the importance of people and organisations working together to safeguard children and young people from abuse.

When and where do courses take place?

This course takes place online and should be completed within 30 days of registering the code you receive after registering for the course.

Who can attend?

This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).

The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)

How to get involved

There is a charge of £15 per person to attend this course and each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.

After receiving a booking request, we will send an invoice to the childcare provider which must be paid promptly.
