Levelling Up Fund Round 1: Successful project bids

As part of round 1, Denbighshire County Council was successful in their joint application with Wrexham County Borough Council for the Clwyd South Constituency. The Levelling Up funding allocated to Denbighshire amounts to £3.8m and will benefit the communities of Llangollen, Llantysilio, Corwen and surrounding areas.

(Denbighshire County Council)		 Llangollen Enhancement of Llangollen's Four Great Highways (Llangollen Canal, the old Ruabon to Barmouth Railway line, River Dee and A5 Holyhead Road) to include improved accessibility, interpretation and signage.
Plas Newydd
(Denbighshire County Council)		 Llangollen Enhance the visitor experience to include improvements to the grounds.
Wenffrwd
(Denbighshire County Council)		 Llangollen Improve town links to and from the Wenffrwd Nature Reserve and the Health Centre and canal as well as paths and cycle improvements within the Reserve.
Horseshoe Falls
(Denbighshire County Council)		 Llantysilio Improvement of visitor infrastructure at Horseshoe Falls.
Railway Platform Canopy
(Llangollen Railway Trust)		 Corwen Installation of a canopy, the most visual component, at Corwen station platform.
Town Centre Infrastructure
(Denbighshire County Council and Cadwyn Adfywio)		 Corwen
Green Lane Car Park
(Denbighshire County Council)		 Corwen Enhancements to the car park to include EV (Electric Vehicle) charging points, refurbishment of public conveniences and improved signage.
Corwen to Cynwyd Active Travel Route – Phase 1
(Denbighshire County Council)		 Phase 1 - Corwen Phase 1 of an active travel (walking and cycling) route, from the Memorial Park, Corwen to the A5.
