Assisted bin collections

We can arrange an assisted collection service for residents who are physically unable to move their containers to the kerbside.

Public toilets

All of our public toilets have disabled facilities and most are fitted with RADAR National Key Scheme (NKS) locks.

RADAR Keys

RADAR keys are available to people who require use of the toilet facilities fitted with a Radar NKS lock due to their disability or health condition.

Disabled Facilities Grant

If you own your home, or if you rent privately, you may be entitled to a Disabled Facilities Grant.

Council tax discounts and exemptions

There are discounts available which can reduce your council tax bill, while some properties can be exempt.

Children, young people and families

Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children (external website): Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children may help with the extra costs of looking after a child.
Local Integrated Family Team (LIFT): LIFT helps families with managing children and young people's (up to 18 years old) challenging behaviour at home.
Play areas: Play areas with accessible elements are currently available at Cae Ddol (Ruthin), Drift Park (Rhyl) and Central Beach (Prestatyn).

Additional Learning Needs (ALN) school transport: In some cases, school transport can be provided for children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
