Social Care Wales Codes of Professional Practice

From 1 July 2026, the current codes and practice guidance have been replaced, and whether you are a social care worker or employer you will be expected to work to the new codes.

The Code of Professional Practice for Social Care Workers sets out the standards expected of people working in social care in Wales, to help keep the public safe.
