About Connect to Work North Wales

Connect to Work aims to support people with disabilities, mental health and complex conditions into quality, paid and sustainable employment through the supported employment model.
Being part of Connect to Work is not mandatory and is for people who want to work and would benefit from support to making this happen.
Supported Employment what is it?
Supported employment is a service that provides assistance to individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain paid employment. It involves personalized support to help individuals find suitable jobs, prepare for interviews, learn job tasks, and navigate workplace challenges. The goal is to help people with disabilities achieve long-term employment success and independence.
- Job Development: Identifying suitable job opportunities based on the individual's skills and preferences.
- Job Preparation: Assisting with resume writing, interview skills, and other aspects of the job application process.
- Job Coaching: Providing on-the-job support to help individuals learn job tasks, manage workplace interactions, and adapt to the work environment.
- Employer Support: Working with employers to address any concerns, provide training on disability awareness, and facilitate communication.
- Benefits Counselling: Providing guidance on how employment may affect benefits and entitlements.
- Career Development: Helping individuals to plan for career progression and future job opportunities.
Why Connect to Work?
Most employment programmes focus on getting an individual "job ready", but with little or no focused support on the employer and the period of employment.
Connect to Work supports the employer and employee through the employment journey with a focus on resolving those on-the-job challenges that occur when employment commences.
Connect to Work will be going live later this month in Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire. Check back very soon for more information about how you can be involved or get support.
