People interested in apprenticeships, traineeships, or internships are invited to the SkillX Apprenticeship and Traineeship Event on Tuesday, 8 July at 1891 in Rhyl, from 10am to 1pm.

Organised by Working Denbighshire, the free event offers talks from employers, providers, and current apprentices, alongside opportunities to speak directly with organisations about available roles. It is open to all, whether you’re a school leaver, jobseeker, career changer, or simply curious.

Organisations will be looking to fill a range of apprenticeship from Level 1 through to Level 7 and traineeship roles, offering opportunities for all experience levels.

Councillor Jason McLellan, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Economic Growth & Tackling Deprivation, said:

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for residents to explore the wide range of apprenticeships and trainee roles available locally. By connecting people directly with employers and training providers, we hope to open doors to rewarding careers and support the economic growth of our communities.”

Ruth Hanson, Principal Manager at Working Denbighshire, said:

“Having seen the benefits of apprenticeships first hand with my own children, I know how valuable these opportunities can be. This event is a great chance for anyone thinking about their next steps to come along, ask questions, and explore what’s out there, whether you’re just starting out or thinking about a career change.”

Attendees will be able to:

  • Explore career paths with insights into different industries and roles
  • Connect with employers actively recruiting apprentices and trainees
  • Learn about apprenticeship programmes, including qualifications and progression routes
  • Ask questions directly to employers, providers, and current apprentices
