After the elections on 5 May 2022, Denbighshire will have 48 county councillors representing 29 electoral wards. County Councillors are elected in the local government elections which are held every five years.

Voting
To vote in a local council election in Wales you must be registered to vote, 16 years or over on polling day and also be one of the following:
- a British citizen
- an Irish or EU citizen living in the UK
- a Commonwealth citizen who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who does not need permission
- a citizen of another country living in Wales or Scotland who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who does not need permission; and
- not be subject to any legal incapacity to vote
