We run lots of events and activities for children and families across Denbighshire, all year round.

Bookstart RhymeTime

There are regular Bookstart Rhymetimes in most libraries in Denbighshire. These sessions aim to make books fun for babies and children, by using songs, rhymes and movement, to develop language and social skills. Parents will also from the opportunity to make new friends to come to a welcoming and social sessions. The sessions are free of charge but need to be pre-booked on the Denbighshire Bookstart website (external website).

Cymraeg for Kids

Cymraeg for Kids is a Welsh Government scheme that provides information to parents on the advantages of their child speaking Welsh and activities they can do to encourage the Welsh language.

National Playday

Playday is the national day for play, traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August. Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.
