Rhyl Regeneration: Contemporary Living and Independent Retail Pilot

Contemporary Living and Independent Retail Pilot

The project involves purchase of three vacant retail units, including two with High Street frontages, to create fresh new retail spaces at ground floor level to meet the requirements of growing independent retailers.

The upper floors will be converted to provide contemporary apartments, making use of empty floor space to provide much needed homes and increasing the number of people living and spending money in the town centre.

The project also involves purchasing the auction rooms across the road in St Helen’s Place to create dedicated parking for people in the apartments which will make them a more attractive offer.

The scheme is being part funded by the Transforming Towns programme (external website) through the Welsh Government.
