Secondary Immersion Scheme in Denbighshire
If learners have not received Welsh primary education, it is not too late to receive secondary education through the medium of Welsh.
In the north of the county, Ysgol Glan Clwyd is a Welsh medium secondary school which accepts pupils to year 7, who have not received Welsh-language education in primary school.
During their time at the secondary school, the learners will be taught by a number of teachers who will pay close attention to developing the learners' Welsh skills, so that they become fluent in the language in a short period of time.

The closing date for secondary school place applications for children born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 was 6 November 2023.
If you've already applied, we'll let you know the outcome by 1 March 2024.
Applying after the closing date
If you're applying after the closing date, your application will be processed after all the on-time requests have been dealt with. This means your preferred school may be full by the time we process your application and, for this reason, we recommend that you name more than one preference when applying.
Late applications will be considered together, regardless of date received, against the oversubscription criteria detailed in the Denbighshire Schools guide.
If you make any amendments to an on-time application after the closing date, we will consider this as a new application which will replace anything previously received and will be recorded as late.
Apply for a secondary school place after the admissions closing date
You must only complete this application if your child was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013.
