Mental Health Champions

The council has trained a number of Mental Health Champions.

Mental Health Champions have volunteered to take action to support colleagues and raise awareness that mental health is as important as physical health.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiating or responding to conversations as a positive first step for example by asking someone how they are.
  • Acknowledging we can all feel anxious, stressed or low and need help at different times.
  • Signposting to support which is available.
  • Promoting and raising awareness of mental health e.g. by displaying posters in your workplace.

A list of Mental Health Champions can be found on LINC.
