Council update on Bank Holiday arrangements
Denbighshire County Council will be observing the national Bank Holiday arrangements being put in place on Monday 19 September – the day of the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Collections from households on Monday will start earlier than usual at around 5.30am. Residents are asked to make sure that refuse is presented on Sunday evening, ready for the early morning start on Monday. The Council will collect as many bins as possible but will stop work before the funeral begins, as a mark of respect.
Any outstanding bins not collected will be picked up over the following days, therefore residents are asked to leave their containers out in a safe place until they have been emptied.
Collections due on Tuesday, 20th September through until Friday, 23rd September remain unchanged.
Temporary delays to bulky item collections and new bin deliveries
Due to staff shortages, it may take up to 20 days to collect bulky items and deliver new bins. Where possible, bulky item collections and new bin deliveries will take place at weekends.
If you are waiting for a black bin, please put your non-recyclable waste in bags until you receive your new bin.
If you are waiting for a blue bin, please put your items for recycling in boxes until you receive your new bin.
We will prioritise delivering new green bins.
